Demonoid– The Strange Truth

(Craig, Carter, Argit and Frankie enter the hallway where a big room is being guarded by Hugo's henchmen. Argit sends Frankie to spray those henchmen down. Frankie's fluid knocks them out.)

Argit♦ Good work, Frankie.

Carter Baxter/Cat-Knap♦ Let's get going. We still need to buy some time.

Argit♦ Okay, but you still owe me, Cat-Knap.

(After Bruce and Emily watched the tape of Emily's memory of discovering Batman's identity on Hugo's computer, he stopped the tape.)

Bruce Wayne♦ It can see thoughts.

Emily Kearns♦ So, he DID record my memories.

(As Craig, Carter, Argit and Frankie enter the big room; Craig discovers a robot arm on the floor and picks it up.)

Craig Gunderson♦ Huh, guess they don't work out as they used to.

Argit♦ (to Craig) HELP!

(Craig sees Argit kidnapped by one of Hugo Strange's robot.)

Argit♦ (to guard robot) Put me down! (to Craig) Craig! Help Me!

Craig Gunderson♦ Hang on, Argit! Huh?

(robotic arm gets magnetized back on the robot. Robot grabs Carter and Frankie.)

Carter Baxter/Cat-Knap♦ (to guard robot) Hey! Get off of me! Let me go!

Craig Gunderson♦ Oh, man!

(Craig gets captured by another robot.)

Craig Gunderson♦ *grunting* Aaarrrggghh!

(Alfred discovered that the Joker, Two-Face, Penguin, and Ragdoll came to know Batman's secret. Alfred calls Bruce.)

Alfred Pennyworth♦ Master Bruce. You and Emily must get out immediately.

Bruce Wayne♦ Almost through, Alfred. Has Strange come back?

Alfred Pennyworth♦ It's worse than that, sir.

(Joker, Two-Face, Penguin, and Ragdoll arrive with some rather heavy bags. Ragdoll carries the luggage and bumps into penguin. The luggage reveals the bags contain money. Ragdoll puts the money back in the bag as he glares at Penguin for getting in the way.)

Joker♦ (to Ragdoll) Hey, I'd be a little more careful with luggage if I were you.

Alfred Pennyworth♦ The Joker, Two-Face, Penguin, and Ragdoll have just arrived with large luggages of cash.

Bruce Wayne♦ So that's it.

Emily Kearns♦ What?

Bruce Wayne♦ Strange isn't planning to blackmail us. He's going to auction that tape.

Emily Kearns♦ He wouldn't.

Alfred Pennyworth♦ Tape, sir?

Emily Kearns♦ We'll explain later.

Bruce Wayne♦ Keep us informed.

(Alfred gets spotted by Hugo Strange and his henchmen.)

Alfred Pennyworth♦ *Gasp*

Hugo Strange♦ Are you Bruce Wayne's butler?

Alfred Pennyworth♦ Why, yes.

Hugo Strange♦ Perfect.

(Hugo faces to the left where Hugo's robots are shown carrying Craig, Carter, Frankie, and Argit who are bound and gagged by the henchmen. One henchman chloroforms Alfred.)

(Emily punches the computer controls, which destroys Hugo's machine. Hugo and the henchmen discovers Bruce and Emily in the office.)

Hugo Strange♦ (to Guard) Remove them!

(Henchmen captivate both Bruce and Emily. Emily's glasses fell off her face.)

Hugo Strange♦ It took me years to build that device.

Hugo Strange♦ But, no matter. You were perhaps looking for this.

(Hugo holds up the tape.)

Hugo Strange♦ (to Bruce) Your butler told me that you would be here.

(Emily snake-hisses at Hugo Strange.)

Emily Kearns♦ (to Hugo) Why would he tell you anything?

Hugo Strange♦ It took a dose of sodium pentothal to persuade him to talk. (to Bruce) He is quite loyal to you. You are a valuable commodity, Bruce Wayne. Or should I say….Batman.

(Bruce glares at Hugo.)

Hugo Strange♦ (to Emily) And you. You never told me you were Raindancer. How is it that you became a beast demon in the first place? The demonoid stone?

Emily Kearns♦ (sarcastically to Hugo) How else?

Hugo Strange♦ Of course it is.

Bruce Wayne♦ You won't get away with it.

Hugo Strange♦ (to Bruce) I will soon enough, thanks to your autistic friend, Mr. Wayne.

Emily Kearns♦ (to Hugo with an annoyed British accent) Listen, Hugo. I promised to keep Batman's identity in the secrets.

Hugo Strange♦ (to Emily) And I must thank you, Emily. You are full of surprises these days. Not only had I discovered Raindancer's secret, but the identity of the Batman.

Emily Kearns♦ (to Hugo with an annoyed British accent) If you tell anyone else our secret, there will be consequences, Hugo Strange!

Hugo Strange♦ (to henchmen) Take them away.

(Henchmen drag Emily and Bruce out of Hugo's office.)

(Showing Emily, Bruce, and Alfred bound in chains; Craig, Carter, Frankie, and Argit tied up and gagged.)

Emily Kearns♦ What do we do now?

Alfred Pennyworth♦ Oh, Master Bruce. I'm so sorry. This is all my fault.

Bruce Wayne♦ Nonsense, Alfred. Believe it or not, this is working out just as I planned.

Alfred Pennyworth♦ How reassuring. . .

Emily Kearns♦ Really? How?

Argit♦ *Muffling*

Emily Kearns♦ (to Argit) What? What's that, Argit?

(Emily removes the cloth from around Argit's mouth with her tongue and teeth. Emily spits the cloth out of her mouth.)

Argit♦ (to Emily) Okay, Emily… First of all: your tongue touching my lips like that… Gross! (to Bruce) Second of all: How's this according to plan, Bruce?

Hugo Strange♦ (on tape) With this machine I can imaging Batman to be anyone I choose and these fools will pay a fortune for it!

(Strange stops the tape.)

Hugo Strange♦ Wait! That's not the right tape!

(The tape is shot out of his hand by Penguin)

Penguin♦ Fellow miscreants, we've been had!

Ragdoll♦ This is nothing but a trick!

Joker♦ I'm going to use your head for a bowling ball, Strange!

Two-Face♦ Get him!

(Hugo tries to escape. But the Joker, Two-Face, Penguin, and Ragdoll caught up with him. Ragdoll and Two-Face catches Hugo.)

Joker♦ Bailing out of the resort business, Hugo?

Hugo Strange♦ Joker. I swear. It was the wrong tape.

Joker♦ You're telling me? C'mon, Hugo. Time to fly the unfriendly skies. *laughs*

(Joker drags Hugo in the plane.)

(Showing Two-Face's hands on Hugo's shoulder. Hugo Strange tied and handgagged.)

Joker♦ Oh, Hugo. Why didn't you tell us about your fear of flying?

Dr. Strange♦ Joker, please! I was set up! Bruce Wayne is Batman!

Two-Face♦ That's absurd. I know Bruce Wayne. If he's Batman, I'm the King of England.

Joker♦ And people say I'm crazy! *laughs*

(Joker puts his hand on his forehead.)

Joker♦ Say. Is it hot in here, or is it just me? (to Two-Face) Harv. Open that door so we can get a breeze.

Two-Face♦ Good idea.

Dr. Strange♦ No. You can't-

(Ragdoll wrapping the cloth back around Hugo's mouth.)

Dr. Strange♦ *Muffling*
